Aikido is very attractive and suitable for
kids; it is fun to whirl over the mats in acrobatical
sweeps, or to deftly throw an approaching assailant
without great effort.
However, aikido only works
as long as the fundamental principle of non-violence
is followed.
The basics of aikido - to allow attacks,
to accept the assailant, to swerve and give way,
in a way to merge with him in a joint movement,
and, finally, to throw him without causing harm -
require a high degree of understanding of this
way of seeing and thus, of self-discipline.
In our classes, we want to teach aikido as martial art.
Please see the schedule for current classes.
It is possible to watch and take a trial session
at any time; however, prior contact by phone
or e-mail is recommended due to possible changes
at short notice.
During school holidays, training depends on arrangement.
